New York Fashion Week: The Hottest Trends
Wondering what you’ll be wearing next fall? Think chunky knits, sensuous velvet and leggings with a little something extra.
-The Betty Editors

Neither a blizzard nor horrible travel conditions stopped fashionistas, designers and celebrities from trekking to the Big Apple to show off their fabulous selves and their clothing under the tents at Bryant Park and throughout New York City.
While there was a slim chance of bumping into tons of celebs, we did see Carmen Elektra, Julia Stiles and Michelle Williams at the Tracy Reese show. They looked like they really enjoyed Tracy’s mix of chunky sweaters and feminine dresses.
We here at BettyConfidential have sacrificed our sleep, food and everything else so we could let you know what’s hot for fall! This is our first of three articles where we’re covering the trends for Fall/Winter 2010. Read on for our first report.
Hot Trends

1. Lace
Almost every show had something lacey about it. Edition Georges Chakra showed red carpet dresses with lace inserts and floaty black lace cocktail dresses. Vivienne Tam’s models wore animal patterned lace tights; Jill Stuart and Donna Karan had sexy black lace dresses. Newcomer Caroline Seikaly used black lace to create ethereal looking cocktail dresses. Next fall, you’ll be able to indulge your inner girly-girl.

Two-tones leggings – that’s fun!
