
Photos of John Lennon and Yoko Ono that were originally meant to be published some 40 years ago have finally been released.
Life photographer Gerry Deiter captured the candid shots during the famous couples’ Bed-in for Peace in Montreal in 1969. He was the only photojournalist permitted to document that amazing period of time.

The magazine decided to scrap the story at the last minute in order to run a piece on Vietnam.
The photos were stashed in a drawer until this week, and will go on exhibition for the very first time in Coventry Cathedral, West Mids, on Saturday. (The Telegraph)
