TMZ is reporting that Dr. Conrad Murray will turn himself in to LAPD on Friday morning, where he’ll be arraigned and charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. After being booked, he’ll face a judge at 1:30 p.m. PST. A press pool video and still camera will record the event.

According to Inside Edition, Jackson’s family is furious with the report; they feel the charge is a mere slap on the wrist for Dr. Murray. Jackson family attorney Brian Oxman says the Jackson family wants Dr. Murray charged with second degree murder for administering the powerful anesthetic propofol to Jackson on the day he died.

“This doctor shot Michael Jackson with this drug when he knew there was an unreasonable risk to his life outside a hospital setting,” said Oxman.

A second degree murder conviction could get Murray 15 years in prison; the max for involuntary manslaughter is four years. (TMZ, Inside Edition)
