Adorable funnyman Matthew Perry is returning to the small screen with a brand new yet to be titled single-camera comedy which he will co-write, executive produce and star in.

According to Hollywoodreporter.com Perry will portray a self-obsessed manager of a mediocre arena who beings to re-examine his life upon turning 40 (ironically, the actor hit the big 4-0 in August).

Matthew has teamed up with Sony-based Mark Firek and Alex Barnow, who are aiding him in writing the script which will be pitched to networks sometime this week.

Also on board are Thomas Schlamme and Jamie Tarses, both of whom worked behind the scenes with Perry on Friends.
