Before DJ AM died from an alleged drug overdose on August 28 he was involved in an MTV “intervention-styled reality series” called Gone Too Far, which was supposed to air October 5 but didn’t due to the 36-year-old’s unfortunate passing.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, MTV is now itching to air the show that features AM (real name Adam Goldstein) speaking to abusers about their addictions in an attempt to help them overcome their dependencies.
The network is speaking to the late star’s family about the idea, though nothing will officially happen until his estate can approve it.
While it would certainly be nice to see DJ AM once again, we can’t quite decide if it is appropriate for MTV to go through with this project … (E! Online)
