Courteney Cox has Cougar Town, Matt LeBlanc is about to hit the small screen with Episodes, Matthew Perry is pitching a script to networks as we speak, and now Lisa Kudrow is making a return to primetime TV.
The actress who portrayed uber-funny Phoebe Buffay on our all-time favorite show Friends has signed on to executive produce a new sitcom for Showtime titled Rapture.
The story, which is an adaptation of Craig Chester’s memoir Why the Long Face?: The Adventures of a Truly Independent Actor, will be told “from the perspective of 9-year-old Chester who's coming to terms with his sexual orientation while dealing with a devout mom who has visions of Christ and a rock 'n' roll guitar player dad who fears his wife is losing her mind,” according to Variety.com.
The project will hopefully be picked up to pilot soon.
Now all we need is for David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston to follow in their pals’ footsteps and we’ll have it made in the shade! (Variety.com)
