Bristol Palin was very happy with the court verdict yesterday that ordered ex-boyfriend, Levi Johnston, to pay $18,000 in overdue child support.

The amount covers the time since their son, Tripp, was born in December 2008 to the present and is based off of Johnston's commercial earnings. He will have to continue to pay $1600 a month for child support in the future. The judge pointed out that Johnston not showing up to court yesterday didn't help his case at all.
As for Bristol and Levi's relationship, the two communicate through texts and e-mails to set up visitation times, as Bristol has full custody of Tripp. They are both trying to put their son first, despite their differences.
As Bristol's lawyer said yesterday, “Bristol just wants to get on with her life as this point and is determined to raise her son in a positive and loving fashion – all parties are working together at this point.” (RadarOnline)
