Twilight star Kristen Stewart is over the attention she gets for playing the heroine in the famous films. In this month’s Interview, she spoke to the legendary Dennis Hopper, whose six-year-old daughter is obsessed with the series.
Stewart says that many of her conversations – with old friends and new acquaintances alike – are driven by Twilight these days: “The first thing I want to say to them is, ‘It’s insane! And, as a person, I can’t do anything!’”
Fans can’t get enough of the films, and sometimes forget that Stewart isn’t Bella.
“There’s an idea about who I am that’s eternally projected onto me and then I almost feel like I have to fulfill that role,” Stewart says of the attention. “I’d like to take more walks after work, instead of having to come back to my hotel room and not leave. So it can be boring.”
The actress says it is difficult for her to deal with her “persona”: “The whole meaning of the word is that it’s made up, and it’s like I didn’t even get to make up my own. It can be annoying. “
We could understand how newfound fame could be tough on you, Kristen, but we have very little sympathy – after all, your job description involves kissing Robert Pattinson. (Interview)
