We thought Monday mornings couldn’t possibly get any more surreal, and then we happened across these pics of supermodel Kate Moss in a strapless dress made from recycled mosquito nets.

Yes, mosquito nets.

The peculiar gown, created by William Tempest, will be auctioned off to help benefit Sports Relief 2010’s commitment to fighting malaria (insecticide-treated mosquito net is apparently the simplest and least expensive method of preventing the spread of the disease).

“I was shocked to hear that one child dies from malaria in Africa every 30 seconds, that’s why I was happy to be involved in this important project for Sport Relief,” Moss stated. “William Tempest’s dress, which incorporates recycled malaria nets is absolutely gorgeous, I loved wearing it and working with William.”

Well it’s certainly nice to hear Kate is doing her part! And, is it just us, or is she totally rocking that crazy dress? (Daily Mail)
