Is that a glimmer of hope we see? It only took him two days, but Kanye West has finally personally apologized to Taylor Swift for ruining her big moment at the VMAs on Sunday night, when he interjected during her acceptance speech to tell the audience that Beyonce should have won instead.

The rapper took to his blog on Monday to say, "I feel like Ben Stiller in Meet the Parents when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave... That was Taylor's moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry."

He also felt the need to make an unscheduled appearance on The Jay Leno Show the same night to make a more emotionally profound apology to Taylor. He blamed his behavior on the recent loss of his mother and his need to take some time off from the music biz.

"It's been extremely difficult, just dealing with the fact that I hurt someone or took anything away, you know, from a talented artist - or from anyone."

But the real apology came when Kanye finally called Taylor on Tuesday after her appearance on The View to personally apologize, and like any good star, she forgave him. Although, we smell a conspiracy -- blog posts, TV appearances, and even a presidential remark on this drama? That's a lot of extended media coverage on an awards show that aired three days ago.
