Jon and Kate’s Sad Farewell
“It’s a crazy life, but it’s our life.” The Gosselins’ reality series, Jon & Kate Plus 8, ended last night, and I am glad it’s over.

“Our marriage fell apart and I felt like I was free.” So said Jon Gosselin in the first 10 seconds of the series finale of Jon & Kate Plus 8 last night. I’d say that sums up his reasoning every step of the way and exactly why Kate was granted primary custody of the children through a court arbitrator over the weekend.
Was TLC clearly on Kate’s side throughout this episode? YES. Did Jon deserve a little more understanding? I still say no. I’ll give Jon an inch of credit for saying that he accepts some blame during the finale. Did he handle the lemonade stand situation (that showed him yelling at his oldest daughters Cara and Mady) properly? Definitely not. At this point, it will be difficult for Mady and Cara to forgive him later in life. They are at a crucial and crushing stage at 9 years of age and we could clearly see last night that they already side with Kate.

Jon appeared nervous and almost like he was high on a caffeine buzz, bouncing out of his seat with the excitement of his freedom during his testimonials. He proudly wore the clothes he’d scored for free, while Kate confirmed what we all knew. She was worried that Jon had gotten the kids in the crosshairs of a publicity stunt at the fire station charity lemonade stand.
