Yesterday BettyConfidential revealed that Jennifer Aniston had taken John Mayer back in the hope that he had grown up and gotten more serious. Well, Jen, we have some bad news for you — it’s clear that this leopard hasn’t changed his spots.

An insider tells BettyConfidential that John “will do anything for attention when he’s out with his friends.” The pal says that’s the reason for John’s rumored lip lock with a male fan at the gay club Toucan’s Tiki Lounge in Palm Springs.

"John went to the gay bar for fun with a few friends and they joked about how he would be a crowd favorite,” our source says. “John loves to dance and he's up for all kinds of fun, even when he's in the middle of writing songs. Part of his creative process involves going out to different clubs, listening to great DJs and feeling the vibe of the crowd. He wants to feel the energy of the music."

And here’s the really bad news for Jennifer Aniston. The insider says John has a whole routine for picking up women when he’s out. “He's got quite a way with women and he can land a new one every night when he's in the mood,” the pal says. “He loves to hook them with dancing, then he'll sing a little in their ear and suddenly he's got a girl — and usually any of her friends, too!”

The songs that’ll get John moving on the dance floor? Anything Britney Spears. "He loves Britney Spears’ music! “I’m a Slave 4 U,” “Womanizer,” it doesn't matter — he's a fan and will dance to Britney in front of everyone. John is just very comfortable in being John and enjoying all the perks that go along with his fame."

He’s so confident, in fact, that he doesn’t even shower before he goes out. “John is sometimes a little too comfortable in his own skin,” the insider continues. “He doesn't shower, shave or get dressed up when he's going out, and he'll head into a fancy club in a hoodie and cargo pants. John has a careless and relaxed attitude and it only works in his favor with the girls."

Law & Order star Chris Meloni brought his family to the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation’s Dream Halloween party in NYC. Chris was a fun dad, getting the whole family dressed in costume, playing basketball and even partaking in some karaoke!

Emmy Rossum shopped at the Farmer's Market in New York’s Union Square without her Counting Crows boyfriend, Adam Duritz. She sipped Blue Sky Free soda and picked up tomatoes.

Mary J. Blige performed her hits, including “No More Drama,” at the NY Women's Foundation Stepping Out and Stepping Up dinner for an audience that included Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
