Rielle Hunter has kept a relatively low profile since giving birth to baby girl Frances Quinn with former North Carolina senator and presidential candidate John Edwards, but now she’s speaking out in an interview for GQ magazine.

“I know he loves me,” Hunter says in the interview. “I have never had any doubt at all about that. We love each other very much. And that hasn’t changed, and I believe that will be till death do us part. The love doesn’t go away. It’s unconditional.”

Hunter says that the attraction between them was something she couldn’t deny.

“It was just this, this magnetic force field like I had never experienced,” Hunter says. “It terrified me. Absolutely terrified me.”

Though many were stunned to find out that Edwards carried on an affair while his wife Elizabeth battled cancer, Hunter insists that Edwards is a good man.

"He is doing the right thing," Hunter says. "And he's a great father. Once Johnny and Elizabeth separated, we were able to move forward quite quickly. And it has to do with him not hiding in order to see his daughter. He very much wants to be in her life full-time, and he doesn't want to hide."

Though Hunter said she and Edwards currently have no plans to marry, she remains completely devoted to him.

“I do know that I will love him and that love is till death do us part, and probably beyond,” Hunter says. “We have a child together, so at the very least we will be co-parents together.” (People)
