Actress Joely Richardson is still struggling to cope with the loss of her sister Natasha, who died from a head injury after what appeared to be a minor skiing accident last March.
“A strange autopilot kicks in; your psyche puts your work day into a different compartment from your private life,” Joely said of returning to work the day after her sister’s funeral in the latest issue of Britain’s Tatler magazine.
“The shock shatters you on a cellular level, and it takes time for the pieces to come back together, albeit in a different formation,” she added.
Joely and her daughter are planning a short-term move to New York, so they can spend more time with Natasha’s teenage sons.
“So much of what I am is who Tasha was, and I think, sharing all those formative years, there is level of merging. . . I cannot imagine that there will ever be a day when I don’t think of Tasha,” Joely said. (Daily Mail)
