In the world of politics, if someone powerful cheats, there will most likely be a tell-all book to follow. It happened to John Edwards last week, and now it's Governor Mark Sanford's turn.

His soon-to-be ex-wife, Jenny Sanford, will release Staying True this Friday, a book that covers her relationship with the Governor from beginning to end.

We all know that Mark Sanford disappeared for five days last summer to "hike the Appalachian Trail," aka go to Argentina to see his mistress, Maria Belen Chapur. We also know what happened to his political career after Sanford confessed the truth. But what Jenny Sanford sheds light on in her book is how, during this devestating time, her husband had the gall to ask her for advice.

The Huffington Post says she explains how "the governor used her as a sounding board, wondering aloud whether he should follow his heart to Argentina and if he would live a life of regret if he didn't."

She also reveals how Mark requested to have the word "faithful" removed from their wedding vows and how "cheap" he was when it came to buying her gifts. ABC reports:

"'He drew me a picture of a half a bike, and then for the next birthday or Christmas I got the picture of the other half a bike, and then he delivered the $25 used bike,' she recalled. For another birthday, Mark Sanford gave her a diamond necklace, which she adored, but then he took it back."
