Jay Leno started off his first night back as host of the Tonight Show last night by saying, "It's good to be home." His guests for the night included Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn, Jamie Foxx, and a performance by Brad Paisley. But, what had everybody talking was what Leno had to say.
It seemed like no one was spared in Leno's opening monologue last night. He dissed Alan Greenspan, his own network NBC, Dick Cheney, former President Bush, Toyota, Tiger Woods, and of course, Conan O'Brien.
But the stab at Conan was probably the harshest. When talking about his guest for tonight's show, Sarah Palin, Leno said, "she has never been on a late night show." But she was on a late night show – she was on Conan's Tonight Show just this past December. This statement, along with the fact that NBC has removed every last episode of Conan's Tonight Show from Hulu and NBC's website, suggests that the network is trying to completely erase any evidence that Conan ever existed on their late night lineup.
And that, by far, is the biggest diss of all. (Huffington Post, Huffington Post)
