Is it the End for Heidi and Spencer?

She’s fired her husband as her manager. Now, Heidi Montag may be looking to get out of her one-year marriage to Spencer Pratt.

With the shocking announcement that she’d replaced her husband with a psychic for her manager, rumors quickly spread that Heidi Montag was breaking up with Spencer Pratt. But even though the reality star told People that they’re staying married — just don’t dare call them “Speidi” anymore — a source tells Betty Confidential that the relationship is definitely on the rocks. Since having 10 surgeries in one day in November, including breast and buttock augmentation and chin reduction, “Heidi has been on an emotional roller coaster and Spencer is fed up with coddling her,” says the source. “Spencer may be empathetic when the cameras are on him, but that’s where his compassion ends.”

Spencer, who has managed Heidi for five years, doesn’t believe his wife is committed to her career, says the source. “He’s trying to work on furthering his career,” says the source. “And she is just all about the fame. She’s not into the acting or singing part of it.” Spencer, 26, was upset that she didn’t do enough to promote her debut album Superficial, which sold only 1,000 copies after it was digitally released on January 11. “It could have been a huge hit,” says the source, adding that it cost more than $2 million to produce the record. “Heidi thought it would sell itself after all the exposure she got for her plastic surgeries. And now all she does is whine about it.”

Even though she recently spoofed her plastic surgery in a popular Funny or Die video directed by Ron Howard (the Oscar winner advocates credit card reform in the ad) and Heidi reveals she has signed on to another Howard-related project and a feature film comedy, Spencer still thinks “Heidi’s not putting her all into her career,” says the source. “He told her ‘straighten up or it’s over’ but instead she’ll just think up another scheme to stay in the news.” She’s not expecting yet, but Heidi, who is desperate to have a baby, has allegedly already signed an exclusive deal with a magazine for pictures of her during her pregnancy as well as first baby photos.

That difference of opinion between husband and wife may be the main reason why Heidi turned to Aiden Chase, a Malibu-based “third generation healer and intuitive,” who will, according to the 23-year-old, “help manage my new life and career in a very different and positive way with light and love.” Heidi adds that “having an intuitive psychic leading my team gives me an edge no one else has” and that she has now “cleared all the negative energy in my life.”
