Is a Richie-Madden Wedding Imminent?

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden gave Ryan Seacrest the scoop.

When Nicole Richie and Joel Madden hit the Oscar red carpet last night, they were prepared for Ryan Seacrest’s big question: “When are you getting married?” The couple’s response: sooner than we expected!

“It’s tomorrow,” Nicole said, before Joel suggested they get married even sooner.

“I thought it [would] be cool to do it here,” Joel added. Nicole then suggested Ryan get ordained that night and marry them on the spot before the couple got serious.

“The same thing as our engagement,” Joel said. “We’re kind of doing it at our own pace. We have no idea right now.”

“Like he has any say,” Nicole joked. While they seem as happy as ever, the couple can’t seem to agree on wedding plans – Joel is hoping for a smaller wedding, while Nicole is looking for a big production. Good luck working that one out! (People)
