On Thursday morning Starbucks gave java drinkers a reason to worry with the announcement that the chain will continue to allow customers to openly wear unloaded guns in its shops.
The open-carry movement, as it has come to be known as, originated in Virginia several years back and is now causing a stir in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Gun-control promoters are urging the coffee chain to ban guns on its premises.
"Tell Starbcks: Espresso Shots, Not Gunshots," the Brady Campagin to Prevent Gun Violence posted on its Web site. "The practice of packing heat in places like Starbucks is intimidating and could be potentially dangerous to our families and communities -- and it must be stopped." (AOL News)
