At the beginning of the month Marie Osmond claimed she was ready to return to work, which was shocking to say the least as her son Michael Blosil had died just days before her big announcement.

Marie has now decided to cancel the remainder of her shows this week at the Flamingo Las Vegas “to spend more time with her family”, according to the show’s producer Chip Lightman.

"She worked all last week and then over the weekend and Monday," he told E! News. "She decided she really needed more time with the family so she's taking this whole week off."

If she is feeling up to it, the next Donny & Marie performance will take place on March 23. (E! Online)
