Was Anna Nicole Smith involved in a murder plot to kill her deceased husband’s son whom she was battling for his dad’s millions?
That’s what FBI investigators may have believed when they questioned her in 2000, according to Smith’s recently released FBI record.
According to the documents that were released under the Freedom of Information Act, when told why she was being investigated, "Smith began crying and denied ever making such plans," a report said and an agent noted that she “adamantly denied ever contemplating such a crime.”
Vast sections of the 100 pages of Smith’s released records were whited out, however, prosecutors ultimately decided that there wasn’t enough evidence to charge the Playboy Playmate, who died in 2007 from a drug overdose, with any crime. (AP)
