On Tuesday, not only can you celebrate that you are free to vote a candidate of your choosing, but you can also get FREE STUFF!
Election Day giveaways abound. Here are a few we've found:
UPDATED 11/4: Thanks to good old Perez Hilton, we heard that NYC voters can get a verrrry interesting prize for voting from none other than famed sex shop Babeland. Voters can pick up a "Maverick Sleeve" or a "Silver Bullet Vibe" from one of their retail shops from Nov. 4th to the 11th. Proof that voting really does feel good!
Krispy Kreme: Get a free star-shaped donut with red white and blue sprinkles when you show up with an "I Voted" sticker.
Ben & Jerry's: Free ice cream for everyone between 5-8 p.m. on Nov. 4 ... you don't even need the "I Voted" sticker ... which is good for those like me who voted by mail and didn't receive a sticker!
Starbucks: Get a free tall brewed coffee on Tuesday at Starbucks locations across the country -- on the honor system!
CREDO Mobile: Dial away if you're on this mobile carrier. All outgoing, domestic calls on CREDO Mobile and CREDO Long Distance will be free this coming Election Day, during the hours that polls are open in your state (based on your billing address).
Free Babysitters: That's right! TodaysMama and SitterCity.com, as part of the MamaVote initiative, will offer two free hours of babysitting on Election Day, November 4, 2008 to the first 50 people that join Sittercity. For more information, click here.
Free Body Piercings: If you live anywhere near Kirksville, Missouri, and want a body piercing, you can get one free on Election Day. "This is the most important election in history, as far as I'm concerned, and my idea to give free body piercings on election day is just to get voters out there, give them some incentive to get out there and vote," said "Flash" of the Dyed Hyde Tattoo and Body Piercing shop.
Here's to the land of the Brave and the home of the FREE.
