The stars of Gossip Girl are as well-known for their offscreen dalliances as for the ones that appear on the show, but now one of the show’s golden couples is no more.

Ed Westwick recently dumped Jessica Szohr following rumors that she got a little too close to his good friend Marco Minuto during her birthday party, which Ed missed. Ed has been filming The Chalet Girl in Europe while Jessica stays in L.A.

“[Jessica] was being openly affectionate and flirty with Marco,” a source told Page Six. “They ended up back at the same hotel, but nobody knows what happened behind closed doors.”

It didn't take long for Ed to get wind of Jessica and Marco’s cozy night.

“He immediately ended their relationship on the phone, and Jessica, who denied anything happened with Marco, was so distraught that she flew to London last Friday with just the clothes on her back,” the source added. “She's been begging Ed to take her back, but he is deeply hurt. He can't believe that she carried on this way with one of his friends.”

Meanwhile, Jessica’s rep denies the split, and Ed’s rep has yet to comment. (Page Six)
