Drinking Tea or Coffee Can Stave Off Diabetes

If you’re a tea-aholic the Daily Mail has some great news to share with you.

According to researchers at the University of Sydney, consuming more than three cups of tea a day severely slashes the risk of developing diabetes. And guess what? Coffee does the same thing.

“The authors found that individuals who drank three to four cups per day had a 25 percent lower risk than those who drank between zero and two cups per day,” Dr. Carrie Ruxton, scientific adviser to the industry-backed Tea Advisory Panel, revealed. “This protective effect may be due to the variety of compounds present in tea, including antioxidants.” (Daily Mail)
