During part two of his interview with Good Morning America, Jon Gosselin revealed that he wanted ex-wife Kate to attend therapy sessions with him in order to help repair their crumbling marriage. Much to Jon’s dismay, Kate refused, so he was forced to go at it alone.
Now, fresh details have emerged from Tuesday’s Primetime: Family Secrets interview, which show that Kate was indeed up for therapy … but only if Dr. Phil was to be involved.
Jon did not fancy the idea of enlisting a celebrity counselor, especially since it felt like the session with Dr. Phil was more focused on revamping Jon & Kate Plus 8 than healing their marriage.
"We talked about the brand and corporate things and making the brand work," the father of eight said. "I felt it was weird. I was like, 'Why am I here? I could be snowboarding.' It wasn't helping."
Dr. Phil responded to the interview by sending a statement out to ABC News which read: "I respect the Gosselins' privacy, I have no comment on their marriage.”
It’s a pity he couldn’t offer the same ‘no comment’ spiel when it came to discussing Britney Spears’ mental health. (Usmagazine.com)
