Daily Dish: Kristen Stewart Says She Doesn’t Want to Be Like Angelina

The "Twilight" star doesn’t want Angelina Jolie’s fame.

Twilight star Kristen Stewart said there’s at least one major star she doesn’t look up to.

“I don’t want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie,” Kristen told BlackBook magazine.

“Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable. I’m an actor. It’s bizarre to me that everybody’s so obsessive.”

Kristen has made no secret of her desire for privacy, despite the wild success of the Twilight franchise – the first film installment grossed nearly $400 million, and the next film, New Moon, will premiere on Nov. 20.

But she and her costar Robert Pattinson can’t seem to avoid the spotlight. Rumors of a romantic relationship have followed the couple for months, although the pair continue to insist that they are just friends.

Kristen also made a rather dark observation about fame in the interview.

“Edward is actually a really good parallel to fame,” Kristen said of Robert’s Twilight character Edward Cullen. “As a vampire, he has a sad, desolate life – fame is the same.”

Hopefully Kristen can learn to appreciate some of the positives that come with early success as well. She may work in dark films, but that doesn’t mean she has to be so negative all the time! (Us Magazine)
