Miley Cyrus is just one of many stars who will make an appearance in the upcoming Sex and the City sequel. But some are wondering if the Disney starlet is too young for the racy franchise.

PopEater is reporting that while the star is only 16, the role in this very grown-up film may help her transition from child star to adult leading lady.

“It’s a fun wink-wink cameo,” said Carissa Rosenberg, Seventeen magazine’s entertainment director. “Millions of women are gonna have their eyeballs on her – and why not?”

It is rumored that the scene will have Kim Cattrall’s cougar character Samantha Jones show up to a movie premiere wearing the same dress as Miley, who will play herself.

“It’s absolutely a great move,” said Ian Drew, editor-at-large of Us Weekly. “Everybody wants a cameo. Everybody wants to be in that movie. She’s gotta grow up sometime.”

Branding expert Charlie Walk, CEO of CWE Media, agreed, and said the role will help Miley diversify her appeal.

“You can’t look at Miley Cyrus as a Disney artist anymore. You need to look at her as Miley Cyrus Incorporated,” Walk said.

While Miley may be able to expand her audience with her Sex and the City role, we’re hoping her younger fans steer clear of this film. (Popeater.com)
