The battle has been getting really ugly, but America’s most discreet estranged couple Jon and Kate Gosselin will be forced to work out their economic issues today.

A court-appointed arbitrator has been assigned to get the couple to play nice – or at least, play fair. Both Jon and Kate’s respective attorneys will be present, but no word on whether or not the couple will set their differences aside long enough to settle their finances.

You’ll recall that Kate will seek child and spousal support since, she claims, Jon removed $230,000 from their joint account, a charge Jon denies (sort of).

However, there is hope for the couple! America’s second-best dad Michael Lohan (Jon G. is #1!) spent the weekend with his new bestie Jon plus Kate and the eight at their Pennsylvania home, and insists that it was just lovely.

“We rode four-wheelers, we had lunch, I rode his motorcycle,” Lohan told People. “Regardless of their situation, Jon and Kate raised eight wonderful children and they deserve a lot of credit.”

Well, since Michael Lohan is such a reliable source, things must be peachy in PA! (People)
