Dear Lissa: Is is OK to go down a water slide when I'm pregnant? Also, is it OK to have my husband "go down" on me? I heard that air "in there" can cause major
problems for the baby ... Oh, and what about doing head stands in yoga? Is it OK
to do head stands? ... sometime air seems to get sucked up in there when I do head
stands...

Dear Mommy-2-be: First off, you can absolutely have oral sex when you're pregnant. In fact, I highly recommend it! Believe me, when you're 36 weeks pregnant, missionary sex gets awkward. My husband and I lived off oral sex and snuggling when I was preggers. I say Thank God (or Goddess) for tongues!

As for the water slide, I wouldn't worry at all about the douche factor. I would be more concerned about having you fall, hit your belly, etc. Chances are, it'll be fine. If it were me, I would probably water slide away, but then, I tend to be a risk taker. So it's up to you.

As for head stands in yoga, go for it! Again, just don't fall and hit your belly. Use a wall for support, just in case. If you're thinking twice about it, maybe your intuition is telling you it's not right for you. In general, listen to your intuition when you're pregnant. It will serve you well. But let me remind you this - pregnancy is not a disease ... Good luck! And congratulations on your pregnancy!
