Judy Haim spoke with Access Hollywood about her son Corey’s autopsy, which was conducted yesterday but has not been released publicly. She said the coroner called to inform her that her son may have died from pulmonary congestion, and that he had an enlarged heart and water in his lungs.

Tiffany Shepis, Haim’s former fiancée, confirmed that he had a history of heart problems but was never treated for them. “They all said he should have it taken care of,” Shepis told People, “but, being from Canada, his insurance was there, so he never went and got it done.”

The pulmonary congestion and heart problems may be why Haim was complaining of flu-like symptoms and had a fever before he died on Wednesday. However, L.A. Coroner Chief Craig Harvey says they are not confident this was the cause of death. “The final cause of death has been deferred pending additional tests that have been ordered.” (People)
