Military experts were summoned to George Clooney’s Italian villa on Thursday after a lethal supply of unexploded World War II bombs were found in the lake just outside of the actor's multi-million dollar home.

The area surrounding Villa Oleandra has been blocked off while navy divers recover the arsenal which included mortars, aircraft bombs and hand grenades.

"This is a very complex operation as the munitions have been in the water for a long time and are unstable," local official Michele Tortora revealed to the Daily Mail. "That's why we have taken the precaution of sealing off the entire area around the recovery operation. The munitions will be taken to a cave where they will be safely detonated."

Most unsettling! Luckily the Hollywood hunk is not believed to be at his 30-room home at this time. Whew. (Daily Mail)
