Daily Dish: Beyonce Breaks Silence on Kanye's VMA Outburst
The star claims Kanye West was "standing up for art."

“Single Ladies” songstress Beyonce Knowles is following in Lady Gaga’s footsteps by speaking out about Kanye West’s insanely inappropriate conduct at last month’s VMAs.
As we all remember the feisty rapper stormed onto the stage and stole the microphone from poor Taylor Swift after hearing that she had beat Beyonce in the Best Female Video category.
Beyonce is now claiming to understand what motivated Kanye to behave like such a jerk.
"Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he's like, 'You have this award,'" the singer told O: The Oprah Magazine editor-at-large Gayle King.
The 28-year-old also stated that Kanye was beside himself when Knowles didn’t win, which caused him to act the way he did.
“When they didn't call my name he was, like, completely shocked," she continued. "And when he walked on the stage, I was like, 'No, no, no!' and then he spoke, and I was like, 'Oh, no, no, no!'”
While we applaud Beyonce for cringing alongside us, how the heck could Kanye’s freak out be misconstrued as “standing up for art”? (People)
