We had high hopes for the incoming White House Hottie Factor after Barack Obama picked silver fox Rahm Emmanuel to be his Chief of Staff, but recent appointees have been rather lacking in the looks department.

Until now, that is. CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta  is reportedly being tapped for the job of Surgeon General. Best-known for his TV appearances - and his selection as one of People Magazine's "Sexiest Men Alive" - Gupta is a practicing neurosurgeon and former White House Fellow under the Clinton administration.

If appointed, Dr. Gupta would reportedly be one of the highest profile Surgeon Generals ever. We sure hope so!

In the Doghouse: Speaking of medical professionals, Dr. Drew Pinsky definitely deserves his place in the doghouse.  While he does wear a tight black t-shirt like nobody else on basic cable, Dr. Drew's foray into on-camera celebrity rehab calls his commitment to the Hippocratic Oath seriously into question. One of its main tenets is "I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know."

And while yes, these patients are willingly submitting to public scrutiny, does a drug-addled, down-on-his-luck loser really have the presence of mind to give consent?
