Betty White on SNL? It’s Getting Close!

It sounds like Lorne Michaels is reading BettyConfidential! After Facebook users and our very own site made desperate pleas to get Betty White a Saturday Night Live hosting gig, it looks like it may actually happen.

The former (or eternal?) Golden Girl is apparently “thisclose” to hosting the sketch comedy show, according to Michael Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly. But there is one little detail – Betty won’t go it alone.
SNL is allegedly planning a “Women of Comedy” episode featuring Betty alongside other funny ladies, including Molly Shannon and (possibly) Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
This is bound to be one of SNL’s best episodes, but should Betty get the stage all to herself? What do you think? (EW)
