The stars pulled out all the stops when it came to red carpet glitz and glam at the Emmys last night. Determined to outshine each other, celebs opted for bright colors — red, purple, yellow and green — or sparkly gold and silver gowns to make sure that all eyes were on them.

As if the color wasn’t enough, Blake Lively (above) opted for a seriously sexy Versace gown that plunged in the front and had a thigh-high split. Ryan Seacrest joked that there was just one string holding the dress together. 

Heidi Klum’s outfit screamed “look at me” for obvious reasons. The mom-to-be wore a strapless Marchesa gown that showed off her baby bump. The Project Runway host revealed that she likes wearing tighter clothes as her pregnancy progresses. “The bigger you get at the end, it's better to go smaller," she said.

Bucking the trend for bright colors, Drew Barrymore chose a blush-toned Monique Lhullier gown that perfectly complemented her pale skin. A soft updo (a dramatic change from her recent two-tone ‘do) completed her old Hollywood glam look.
