He was knocked out in the third round at the U.S. Open over the weekend, but tennis champ Andy Roddick has a real-life trophy at home, in the form of his new wife, Brooklyn Decker. Andy married the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model in April and the two have been spending the past few weeks in his Gramercy apartment in New York City.

“Andy bought an apartment in Manhattan last year that he and Brooklyn could enjoy when they were here for her fashion work and his play in the U.S. Open. They aren’t big on cooking, but they are homebodies, so they order in or get food in the neighborhood.”

In fact, while Andy was playing at the Open, he and Brooklyn were spotted at Olives restaurant at the W Hotel in Union Square. Eyewitnesses say, “Andy was holding hands with Brooklyn and they shared the paper while they ate breakfast. He was relaxed and he didn’t look like he was about to play a serious tennis match that night. They talked and shared a pot of coffee.”

Andy’s winning pre-match meal? Scrambled eggs with ham, cheese, asparagus and a side of wheat toast.

“Brooklyn’s love and support will get him through his U.S. Open loss,” says a pal. “They will stay in the city for another week through the end of the tournament, and Andy will make an appearance at New York Fashion Week, where he and Brooklyn will be seated in the front row at the Lacoste fashion show (they’re his tennis clothing sponsor). Brooklyn takes his mind off the losses and focuses him on training, playing and having fun with her.”
