Adam Lambert used Twitter to give his fans an update about his career changes.

“AMA performance was a one-time event,” Adam Tweeted, referring to his controversial performance at the American Music Awards. “Goin in a new direction now. Focus back on the music.”

My, how quickly things change! Adam’s going from figuratively (and literally) flipping the bird to the watching public to bowing to their wishes. So no more simulated oral sex or on-stage S&M?

“Don’t worry friends: I’m still gonna be me. Always. W/o apologies. Just gonna experiment differently w how I present myself, I’m learning [insert yellow smiley face here].”

Translation: I realized I could have really screwed myself with that surprise, shocking performance, and I’m lucky I’m still selling records. I’ll never apologize for kissing boys and/or girls but maybe I’ll pull back on that dancers-on-dog-leashes type of thing next time. Just promise me you’ll keep buying my albums. Kisses!
