The Bio channel will air a special devoted to former child star Corey Haim, who passed away Wednesday at the age of 38. The program, called Bio Remembers: The Coreys, will also feature Haim’s friend and fellow ‘80s child star Corey Feldman.
A&E, which owns Bio, produced a reality show starring the actors called The Two Coreys in 2007. The show was canceled the following year, as Feldman urged Haim to get help for his substance abuse. Feldman allegedly said he would not speak to Haim until he could get sober.
Despite their differences, Feldman considered Haim a close friend, and wrote about Haim’s death on his blog yesterday:
"I was awakened at 8:30 this morning by my brother and sister knocking on my bedroom door. They informed me of the loss of my brother Corey Haim. My eyes weren't even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face… We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference… I hope the art Corey has left behind will be remembered as the passion of that for which he truly lived."
Bio Remembers: The Two Coreys will air tonight at 10 p.m. on Bio. (Radar Online, Us Magazine)
