Kanye West

Hark - the Chosen One has returned! Or he’s about to, anyway. On Nov. 22 the self-proclaimed “King of Pop” (taking over where Michael Jackson left off, apparently) is back with a brand new album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Kanye is already trying to top his own game with his fifth studio album by releasing not one but FIVE interchangeable covers and a 35-minute film dedicated to the single, Runaway.  Oh yeah, and he’s still maintaining that Taylor Swift – alongside Ray Charles, Herbie Hancock and the Dixie Chicks, this time – didn’t deserve Album of the Year at the Grammys.

But if he didn’t cause this kind of drama, Kanye wouldn’t be Kanye. Which is why we’ve taken it upon ourselves to unearth his seven most memorable moments of all time. Prepare yourself!

However, much he may have robbed the then-19-year-old of her moment, he did directly contribute to giving her the biggest year of her career thus far – and the worst of his own!

Oh, snap! During a live benefit concert for Hurricane Katrina on Sept. 2, 2005, Kanye let the following gem drop: “George Bush doesn’t care about black people!” Although the telethon producers quickly cut away from Kanye and panned to a visibly shocked Chris Tucker, his statement still made national television – and made him yet another enemy in the form of our former president, who called the televised diss “one of the most disgusting moments of my presidency.”
