You’ve just gotten an invitation to a fabulous party next weekend, and you figure it’s never too early to start planning what you’ll wear. But suddenly your perfect little black dress seems a little too little, or your favorite slim jeans have somehow become a tiny bit slimmer than you’d like. Or maybe everything fits, but you want to show off your rockin’ new thigh-high boots with total confidence. Whatever your reason, it’s possible to get skinny — or skinnier — in a week. And you won’t have to go on a strange, unhealthy diet. Instead, try these tips on for size – when combined, they’ll make a big difference in how you look and feel. And each one will help you whittle away 100 calories!
Sunday. Don’t get juiced. Sip 12 ounces of water and eat a medium piece of fruit, like an orange, instead of drinking 12 ounces of orange juice.
Monday. Banish the bread. Enjoy your sandwich wrapped or rolled in a large lettuce leaf instead of served in bread, pita, or a flour tortilla.
Tuesday. Break your break. Divide a one-hour lunch into two parts: walk for 30 minutes of it. Bonus: it can help relieve work-related stress.
Wednesday. Get dirty. Plant some fresh herbs in your outdoor or indoor garden for 20 minutes. The herbs will also help liven up light meals.
