Check Out the Ring ‘Bachelor’ Sean Lowe Proposed With (And Get a Lookalike!)
Of COURSE you want to check out the shiny sparkler Sean Lowe got down on bended knee with to Catherine Giudici on this season of ‘The Bachelor!’
Since this season of The Bachelor was one pretty much everyone we know watched, we can only assume that everyone we know will also be interested in a close up and personal look at the ring Sean Lowe put on Catherine Giudici’s finger. Take a peek up top, courtesy of People!
Apparently Neil Lane is the only guy in Hollywood to go to if you’re famous (or pseudo-famous, as the case may be) and getting engaged, because what we’ve got here is yet another Neil Lane-designed ring. This one features a center diamond set in platinum and surrounded with a whopping 164 smaller round diamonds. Said Neil to People, “Sean took it very seriously and looked carefully at each of his choices—including round- and princess-cuts—but once he saw the cushion-cut stone with all the romantic details, he knew this one was perfect.” The jeweler added, “When he made his choice—of the ring, and of which woman he was picking—he was absolutely certain.”
One of the big things Sean was looking for in the ring was something that reflected Catherine’s “style, spirit, and fashion sense.” According to Neil, “He was really into it and loved that the cushion-cut as soft and romantic, with a vintage vibe that connected the modern and the past.” Sean dug that “it combined Catherine’s sensibility as a modern with an appreciation for the past, and older things.” Catherine, for her part, loves the sparkler because it’s “classic and timeless.”
It’s anyone’s guess whether these two, who just announced that they’re waiting to become intimate until they’re married, will actually stay together—couples on The Bachelor don’t exactly have a great track record when it comes to that—but in the meantime, congratulations to the two love birds.
Bonus: Adore the ring, but either don’t want to get engaged or don’t want to break the bank? We found a lookalike for way less! This Ariella Collection cushion-cut ring ($38, macys.com) has all the bang for your buck you’ll need:
