Kristen Stewart Wore One Heel + One (Totally Affordable) Flat to the Oscars

Kristen Stewart went for a creative footwear solution to adapt to an injured heel on Oscar night—and her flats are totally affordable!

After Kristen Stewart’s little mishap with that piece of glass, she ended up on crutches at the Oscars. This we know. But what we DIDN’T know was that in addition to the crutches, she opted for some creative footwear as well—and amazingly, they weren’t sneakers. Looks like she finally took Mean Betty’s advice!

According to People, Kristen wore one Jimmy Choo heel to the Oscars on her good foot… and one red carpet-appropriate ballet flat on her injured one. Not only that, but although the Jimmy Choos might be a little out of our price range, the flats she wore are totally affordable. Check ‘em out:

Of course, part of me thinks that the reason she was on crutches was because wearing one flat and one heel has a tendency to make you walk a little lopsided. Why not just wear both of the flats? True, heels do make you hold yourself a little differently, but a) Kristen’s posture isn’t great at the best of times, so one heel probably wouldn’t have made much of a difference, and b) her floor-length gown totally hid her shoes anyway. From what I gather, she ended up ditching the heel in favor of the second flat when she presented the award for Achievement in Production Design alongside Daniel Radcliffe, anyway. But what business do I, mere mortal that I am, have questioning the footwear choices of the stars?

Tell us: Should Kristen just have jettisoned the heel and worn the flats the whole night? Or does it really, really not matter?
