Taylor Swift’s Disney Dreams of Rapunzel Come True With Annie Leibovitz
Taylor Swift is the latest star to join Annie Leibovitz’s Disney Dreams portrait series as Rapunzel from ‘Tangled!’
There’s a new Disney Dreamer in the house!
You’re probably already familiar with renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz’s ongoing Disney Dreams portrait series, in which stars like Scarlett Johansson, Rachel Weisz, and Queen Latifah have posed as Disney characters brought to life; in fact, the last time a few new faces joined the crowd (hey there, Russell Brand!), we took you behind the scenes on the shoot. It’s only fitting, therefore, that we give you the latest update on the series, no? That’s what we thought!
So who’s the new face? Taylor Swift, of course! Disney has just unveiled the new portrait, which depicts Taylor as Rapunzel from the 2010 flick Tangled. In it, the long-haired heroine originally voiced by Mandy Moore perches in a window at the top of her tower. Is she waiting for her prince to come? Or is she dreaming not of a prince, but of the great, wide world beyond the tower? I like to think that it’s the latter, but maybe that’s just me. The image’s caption does, however, read, “Where adventure waits,” so maybe I’m not too far off base.
