It’s probably been quite a while since most of you Bety readers were in high school (although if there are some high school readers with us, hello!); it’s been a while for us, too. But you know what we miss? High school yearbook superlatives. But then we had an idea! As we were looking towards the end of the year, we figured, why not bring back those old superlative categories? Only this time, we’ve applied them to the celebrity world. Sure, it’s not the end of the school year, but in celebration of having made it successfully through 2011, we offer you these: Our list of 2011 Celebrity Superlatives! Who won most talented? Teacher’s pet? Drama queen? Read on to find out!
Most overall talented: Justin Timberlake

Whether acting, dancing, singing, or accompanying servicewomen to the Marine Corps Ball, Justin Timberlake wins our award for most talented. He’s come a long way from his ‘N SYNC days, hasn’t he? Bravo, Justin!
Most musical: Adele

Even in the face of problems with her vocal cords, Adele earns the title for most musical from us. Her sophomore albumm 21, debuted at the beginning of the year, and it’s been a whirlwind ride of awards and accolades ever since. Fun fact: According to the Official Charts Company, Adele is the first living artist to achieve the feat of two top five hits in both the UK Official Singles Chart and the Official Albums Chart simultaneously since the Beatles did it in 1964. Now that’s impressive! We can only hope that she recovers from her throat surgery soon—we want more music from her, stat!

Best actor: Ryan Gosling

Even if he got robbed in the race for People’s Sexiest Man Alive, at least we can bestow this honor upon him. Between Drive and The Ides of March, Ryan gets our best actor award. Ryan, you can stop by to talk feminist theory with us any time.
Most valuable player: Daniel Radcliffe

EW’s number one Entertainer of the Year? Well deserved! Daniel gave a great performance in the final installment of the Harry Potter series, and he’s recently been lighting up Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He’s set to leave the show on January 1, alas, but we’re sending him out with a bang as our 2011 MVP.
Class clown: Melissa McCarthy

This should be a no-brainer. Melissa McCarthy is a brilliant comedian, and happily, this year she’s been getting loads of the recognition she so richly deserves. Mike & Molly? Bridesmaids? Her hilarious Emmy acceptance speech? Melissa, you crack us up!
