Nicole Fox defends Tyra’s artistic choices.

Nicole Fox, the newly-named winner of Cycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model, took some time to chat with PopEater about the show’s most controversial photo shoot. ANTM's creator and host Tyra Banks had the models made up to look like they were different races for the shoot.

“We kinda thought that the press would maybe get on that after it aired, because there’s that whole ‘blackface’ controversy,” Nicole said.

Tyra suffered some backlash for her decision.

“We thought it might happen, but honestly, we all thought, ‘God I hope not,’ because that’s so immature, so stupid!” Nicole said. “I mean, clearly, Tyra is not a racist. It’s ridiculous!”

Tyra discussed the shoot on Wednesday’s episode of her talk show and apologized for offending anyone.
