Daily Dish: Jon Voight Confirms He and Angelina Jolie Have Reconciled

The actor is finally 'in touch' with his Oscar winning daughter.

Angelina Jolie’s relationship with her father Jon Voight has always been strained, and it was only made worse by the 70-year-old’s appearance on Access Hollywood in 2002 at which point he begged his daughter to seek counseling for her “serious mental problems.”

The do-gooder star refused to speak to Voight following the interview, and it remained that way until February of this year. "We're in touch, but not regularly," Jolie’s dad told Us Weekly. "We love each other and that's the most important thing."

A friend of the actress’ added that partner Brad Pitt has helped to keep the communication lines open, which gives us one more reason to totally love him.  (Us Magazine)
