Recipe: Chicken Cacciatori

What's for Dinner?

Bring Italy right to your very own kitchen!

Hunter-style Chicken CacciatoriIngredients:

1 whole chicken, cut in pieces
6 cloves garlic, smashed
1 large onion, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
salt and pepper
1 cup white wine
2 tomatoes, peeled and seedless

Directions:

1. Put the chicken, garlic and onions tossed with the oil into a large skillet and cook over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. When the chicken begins to brown, add the wine and tomatoes.

2. Cover, and simmer over low heat until the chicken is cooked through. Serve with string beans and potatoes, if you like.

i might try it with skinless, boneless chicken breats ... the skin looks um, not so nice.
